Harmua is Karelian and means gray, which is a common color name for blue cats. The name was chosen at the moment when the last rays of the sun fell on the coat of the cat sleeping on the windowsill and made it glisten in countless different shades of silver and gray.

Harmuan is a small cattery located in Vantaa. In addition to the cats living at home, some of the Harmuan breeding cats are living in carefully selected families near us, because we want to keep the number of cats living in our home reasonable in order to guarantee the cats' well-being.

For us, cats are always dear family members, and breeding and cat shows are something we do on the cats' terms. All our cats are regularly vaccinated, wormed and cared for with love. Cats used for breeding are also regularly tested for FeLV, FIV and fungal diseases.

FI*Harmuan breeder name was approved in 2005 and we breed Russian blues on a small scale from carefully considered combinations. Our first litter was born in 2006. Since then, more than 50 litters have been born to our cattery, some of which are registered under the breeder name FI*Saraitshikin.
